As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we seek new opportunities to serve…
 
 
 
We met again in person at the Chamber of Commerce… Great to enjoy the fellowship again and see all your smiling faces…
 
 
As a Club, we honored our nation with a salute to our Flag and, an invocation was offered by past President Jack Anderson

Past President George Beitner announced that his daughter and grandkids are living with them for 5 weeks before they leave for Japan. They enjoyed a Padre game and will spend some great family time together before they leave
 
 
Past President Rich Agnew announced that there will be no more remote meetings due to everyone being able to attend in person. It will be done on a case-by-case basis. Thank you, Richard, for all you do for our club especially the technical part
 
 
Past President Tina Pope talked about ways to help Maui in their rebuilding efforts, ESR will be participating
 
 
John Schwab reminded everyone about the upcoming Chamber golf tournament that is raising funds for PAL and Rising Stars that is being held on 9/15
 
 
 
Congratulations to Cory & Gloria as they said I do. The pictures say it all!! Gloria wore 2 rings that represented over 100 years of weeded bliss on her hand, she was beaming!!!

Kendra Koed and family went fishing in Oceanside and Wyatt was successful in a catch also he took a picture on a replica motorcycle that Tom Cruise rode in the movie Top Gun, move over Tom!!!

Richard Agnew showed another picture from his vacation with Marcia to visit her aunt and uncle. Aunt Sara has MS and he wanted us to see how important our fund-raising efforts are, it really makes it personal when someone close to you has been diagnosed with MS.
 
 
 
 
5K Update: 22 Days to go!!!
It looks like the Padres have a slight lead over the Yankees still with the Pirates and the Diamond Backs closing in!! We are now over $94k with 592 registered for the race, awesome work everyone!!
Liz Phillips let us know that the SP cheerleaders are ready to go along with the SPHS band

It’s our annual Club Assembly Meeting:
President Mark introduced and presented pins to this year’s board members and his charity of choice is Tunnels To Towers.
 
 
Past President Rich Aeling talked about where the past incoming presidents have gone to convention and he announced that upcoming president Dave Leuvanos will be going to Singapore and Gerry Fay agreed to serve as our president after Dave and he will be going to Calgary, Canada. After showing us the locations for the future conventions Kendra Koed and Kim Henson said they would throw their hat in the ring!!
 
President Mark’s membership goal this year is 5, we discussed ways to attract new members
 
 
 
Next Week’s Meeting:
Closing: President Mark Maus announced that we will be meeting in person at the Chamber of Commerce at 7:30 AM on August 24th… and our guest speaker is Susan Johnson from Alabaster Jar
