Program

The 2022 Grape Day 5K was the topic of today’s program… Past President, Jim Ponder presented our history with the event and what lies ahead for 2022…

Jim Ponder speaking to his fellow Sunrise Rotarians…

Jim gave the background on the eleven years of the Grape Day 5K, including the amount of funds raised over that time… And, the value of those funds to our community, our region and the world…

The event we present is fun for the community, and a benefit to our philanthropic partners…

Jim announced that a Presenting Sponsor has been secured…

We welcome again, Palomar Health as a presenting sponsor of our Grape Day 5K…

Of equal importance to our securing a Presenting Sponsor, is the hard work we all devote to fundraising for the event…

Fundraising teams have been set and a draft has taken place…

All of the team members were sitting together with their team Captains…

Thanks to the Captains that have all agreed to ‘shepherd’ their team members as we again move toward raising funds in support of the Grape Day 5K and our philanthropic efforts throughout the year…

Thanks to the Captains; Jeff, Mark, Gerry and Doug…

We all received an email from President Richard enabling us to each establish our own fundraising page…

Each of us has the challenge and the opportunity to reach out to friends, business colleagues and family to help support this event… Our primary funding event of the Rotary Year…

Now the 'fun' and the 'work' begins... Remember, October8, 2022...

Support for our Escondido Community …

Our great community and the success of its businesses is all of our responsibilities… Support the businesses that are doing all they can to survive during this challenging time… Take out some chow… Be ready to support them when the economy begins working again…

The ‘Giving Arch’ on Grand Avenue and Centre City Parkway reminds us that Escondido is a caring, giving community…

To all; be safe and be well…. God Bless those men and women that carry the load at our medical facilities, and God Bless our first responders… May our governmental leaders be wise, thoughtful and smart as this pandemic is overtaken by our hard work and collective support…
