February 1, 2024
As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we seek new opportunities to serve…
We met again in person at the Chamber of Commerce… Great to enjoy the fellowship again and see all your smiling faces…
As a Club, we honored our nation with a salute to our Flag led by Judy Fitzgerald and an invocation was offered by past President Jack Anderson….

Who Am I?
Evan Wahl
Evan shared with us about his life in the military which was quite extensive. Thank you, Evan, for your many years of service to your country. He was born in Colorado and when he graduated from college, he went in to the military to fly jets. Even has been all over the world and flown many types of planes. He did several tours of Iraq and served in Hawaii as well. He met his wife Tammy on line (he said when it wasn’t cool to meet someone online) and had his 1st daughter 20 years ago, sadly he was in Iraq when she was born and he got to meet her the first time when she was 3 months old. When he retired from the military in 2014, he went to work for the public services sector for a waste & recycling company. He then went to work for Carlsbad Tech, a pharmaceutical company and eventually went to a Biotech company where he is currently the project manager and general manager. Evan also sits on 2 boards, North San Diego Business Chamber and the Rincon Water District. He has been married for 24 years to Tammy and has 2 kids, Lauren 20 and Taryn who is 17. ESR is so happy to welcome you, Evan to our incredibly fun and wonderful club!!

RYLA – presented by Kendra Koed
Kendra shared her experience with RYLA and how she is hooked and will be doing this event every year. She opened with an awesome video that was set to the movie theme Top Gun. She talked about the relationship with the kids in her group and how she still stays in touch with them to this day. She encouraged us all to go if we can, we won’t regret it. She said it’s very hard work but extremely rewarding.
Please talk to Kendra if you are interested in joining them this year in April
