As we all try to conduct our professional pursuits in new ways, it’s appropriate to remind ourselves of who we are as a Serving Organization… Our accomplishments, our fellowship and the reminder of our many successes is valuable as we seek new opportunities to serve…

 

We met again in person at the Chamber of Commerce… Great to enjoy the fellowship again and see all your smiling faces…

 

 

As a Club, we honored our nation with a salute to our Flag led by Past President, Mike Muehl…

 

And, an invocation was offered by Past President, Jack Anderson…

Support for Fisher House at Camp Pendleton

Thursday March 17, after our Rotary meeting, several Sunrise Rotarians delivered important items to Fisher House at Camp Pendleton… As always, Vicky and her team were appreciative of all we brought… including some frozen food items…

A brief tour of the facility was great information for the newcomers on this trip, Kendra Koed, Kim Henson and President Richard…

We also learned that some of the residents at Fisher House are patients in the Trident Program which serves Military members with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury… 

 

 

 

District Assembly… Learning About the District and Enabling  us to Gain Matching Grants…

March 19 was the District Assembly, in person at Liberty Station… President Elect, Tina and President Richard participated in the Seminar… With their participation, Escondido Sunrise is eligible for local and international grants…

Also attending was Past President, Kelly Mayberry speaking on the RYLA program…

President Elect, Tina Pope shared that food distribution from Feeding San Diego, through the efforts of Neighborhood Health will take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday’s … Volunteers are needed to help with food distribution.. The events will run from 12 Noon to 3 PM on those Saturdays… Look for an email from Tina with details…

Ernie has long been a photographer and a reporter that shared the facts of a story… Recently, he has been adding his personal perspectives to his writing, such that the emotional connection with the photographed images has more meaning… More meaning both for Ernie and for the reader as they enjoy the visual images he creates…
