Programs and Events at Recent Meetings:
January 19 Program: Brian Murphy and Wood and Furniture Show VIII at the Escondido Municipal Gallery
Brian discussed the show that opened last weekend and continues through February 4. He showed photos of the beautiful work among 30 craftsmen and their entries.
Awards included: Best of Show, Bob Stevenson and his Federal Secretary in Cuban mahogany. Best in Craftsmanship, Craig Thibodeau. Best Design, Justin Yasboor. And, Best in Finish, Brian Carnett.
All of the pieces were spectacular with four finishing places awarded beyond the ‘Best’ finisher in all four categories. Our Club supported the event and was recognized for our sponsorship. Brian commented that the opening drew over 500 guests and the Arts Partnership is concerned that the venue is becoming too small for the great participation.
